April and May- BIG changes

Welcome to my very first blog post on my brand new website! This will become a regular thing to keep everyone updated on how I'm going throughout the year.

The past couple of months since tour finished have been big to say the least. I've moved countries, gotten a full time job and changed sprint coaches. Whilst the decision to move half way around the world to the UK was massive, so far it has proven to be the right decision. I'm happier than I've ever been and training is well and truly moving in the right direction. That's not to say that I wasn't happy at home, just that being here feels like it's exactly where I'm supposed to be. Let's be clear about one thing....moving has made some things harder and others easier. For example being around other elite athletes 24/7 is pushing me to be a better athlete and having someone who completely understands what you're going through makes everything feel a little easier. However, moving also meant cementing new routines and more responsibility. It sounds silly and immature (especially as that's what happens on tour) but it's a big change during the 6 months when tired seems to take on a whole new meaning. All in all it's been a very positive couple of months and I'm excited to see what the rest of the summer has in store :)
